Flights from the U.K. to Athens airport take approximately 3¼ hours. There is a regular bus service from the airport to Piraeus harbour taking about 70 minutes.  To get to Poros from Pireaus one may take a hydrofoil (1 hour) or the ferry (2¼  hours).

Alternatively, one can go by road direct from the airport to Galatas on the mainland, a five minute ferry journey from Poros Town.

NB.  Anchor house is situated near the top of the town and is reached from the harbour with a steady climb through Poros’ narrow streets.
On arrival at the island, visitors will be met and transported by taxi to within a few steps of the house. There are instructions left in the house on how to get to and from the harbour.
